Are you  upset about hitting a weight loss plateau? Don’t get discouraged!  Plateaus are normal and everyone has them.  Here are a few steps to help with those plateaus.  1. Commit to another person . “This social aspect of exercise is very important to me,” I am a stay-at-home mom. I may let myself off, but if I’ve agreed to walk with a friend after dinner, I won’t be letting them down.” 3. Make exercise a priority. “It has to be a non-negotiable. Losing Weight & Feeling Great

I am all about family and love spending as much time with them as possible. My 2nd passion is bringing awareness to Type II diabetes. It is near and dear to my heart. Since being diagnosed I have lost 100 pounds.  March 2007 is a special chapter in my life. It was the month my struggle to control my diabetes took on a whole new light. I reached my goal weight set by my doctor and was able to be taken off all artificial means to control my diabetes. My diabetes is now under control through diet and exercise. With weight loss and exercise, Type II Diabetes can be managed or prevented. My success at controlling my diabetes has led to a newfound dedication and passion for educating others on how to eat right & exercise. It brings me great joy to share my story with others and in doing so inspire them to  “get up and get moving!” I am a diabetes advocate for the American diabetes association. I am a passionate public speaker with experience speaking to youth, at gyms, offices, weight

Competing in the Mrs. Idaho Pageant

Competing in the Mrs. Idaho pageant after losing 100 pounds was surreal. Making the top five in my 40s out of 16 beautiful women was the icing on the cake. Discovering my passion, and becoming a diabetes advocate, has truly blessed my life. Being a keynote speaker, and being blessed to share my journey across the United States has enriched my life fully. Meeting so many amazing people along the way has made my journey very rememberable.

I am  all about family and love spending as much time with them as possible. My 2nd passion is bringing awareness to type 2 diabetes. It is near and dear to her heart. Since being diagnosed with the condition a little over three years ago, I have lost 100 pounds. I am a diabetes advocate and a passionate motivational speaker getting others inspired to gain a healthier life through eating whole foods and exercising.  She is now the mentor to the Miss Healthy Dr. Oz contestants. See the Dr. OZ clip here:  Dr. OZ Show. Since being diagnosed with   type 2 diabetes   four years ago I have lost 100 pounds. I have become a diabetes advocate, a motivational speaker, and now a weight loss coach. So many blessings have happened since that dreadful day hearing the words “You have type 2 diabetes.” Although it was very depressing to hear those words it was not long that the depression I was feeling turned into a desire to change my life. During that journey, I had no idea what was in store for me.
