Discovering my love for photography

Picture a mom on the sidelines of her son's soccer game. The one always taking the pictures. That has been me for the past 4 years at my son's high school high.  I did not enjoy it back when I first started because I felt like I was missing the game.  When you take pictures your main focus is to get just the right shot. The few times I did not take pictures. I really got to get into the game and enjoy it. Over time though I started to love the feeling of getting home running upstairs and getting and seeing the pictures I took going through one. I noticed that many parents could not attend the games.  I would post them on our team soccer page. Many parents through the years have thanked me and said how much they appreciated the pictures.  4 years later and with a new camera I still love being on the sidelines of games taking pictures. Because I work at the school my son attends I know many of the students so you can find me at the basketball games as well as dance com...

I may let myself off, but if I’ve agreed to walk with a friend after dinner, I won’t be letting them down.” 3. Make exercise a priority. “It has to be a non-negotiable. Losing Weight & Feeling Great

I am all about family and love spending as much time with them as possible. My 2nd passion is bringing awareness to Type II diabetes. It is near and dear to my heart. Since being diagnosed I have lost 100 pounds.  March 2007 is a special chapter in my life. It was the month my struggle to control my diabetes took on a whole new light. I reached my goal weight set by my doctor and was able to be taken off all artificial means to control my diabetes. My diabetes is now under control through diet and exercise. With weight loss and exercise, Type II Diabetes can be managed or prevented. My success at controlling my diabetes has led to a newfound dedication and passion for educating others on how to eat right & exercise. It brings me great joy to share my story with others and in doing so inspire them to  “get up and get moving!” I am a diabetes advocate for the American diabetes association. I am a passionate public speaker with experience speaking to youth, at gyms, of...

Discovering my passion, and becoming a diabetes advocate, has truly blessed my life. Being a keynote speaker, and being blessed to share my journey across the United States has enriched my life fully. Meeting so many amazing people along the way has made my journey very rememberable.
