Good Life Reset: 30 Simple Ideas for July | Everyday Life With Jill

Can I share something I’ve learned?

For years, I thought I had to wait for the perfect time to make a change.

A new month.
A Monday.
A fresh start.

But who made that rule?

The truth is, you can begin anytime.

That’s exactly why I created the Good Life Reset.

Each month, I’ll be sharing 30 simple ideas designed to help us slow down, be more intentional, and enjoy the life we’re living right now. These aren’t meant to overwhelm you or become another to-do list. They’re simply little reminders that small choices really can make a big difference.

You don’t have to complete all 30.
You don’t have to start with number one.
You don’t even have to do them in order.

Just choose one that speaks to you today.

July’s 30 Simple Ideas

1. Take a 15-minute walk.

2. Drink more water today.

3. Call or text someone you love.

4. Declutter one drawer.

5. Read 10 pages of a good book.

6. Write down three things you’re grateful for.

7. Spend 30 minutes outside.

8. Go to bed 30 minutes earlier.

9. Stretch for 10 minutes.

10. Eat one extra serving of fruits or vegetables.

11. Listen to uplifting music.

12. Turn off your phone for one hour.

13. Compliment someone.

14. Make your bed.

15. Donate something you no longer use.

16. Pray or spend a few quiet minutes reflecting.

17. Cook a meal at home.

18. Try something you’ve been putting off.

19. Laugh on purpose—watch or read something that makes you smile.

20. Organize one small space.

21. Write down one goal for this month.

22. Watch the sunrise or sunset.

23. Take five deep breaths before reacting to stress.

24. Spend quality time with someone you love.

25. Say no to something that drains your energy.

26. Do one random act of kindness.

27. Start a savings jar—even if it’s just a dollar.

28. Unfollow accounts that don’t inspire you.

29. Celebrate one thing you did well today.

30. Smile at yourself in the mirror and remember how far you’ve come.

My hope is that these simple ideas encourage you to take a breath, focus on what matters most, and remember that living a good life isn’t about perfection—it’s about the little things we choose to do every day.

I’d love for this to become something we do together each month.

So tell me…

Which idea are you starting with today?

Remember, you don’t have to wait for the perfect moment.

Today can be your fresh start.
